Our Roots
If, 12 years ago, you had told the Owner, James Thornley, that the company he purchased from the Peake family would surpass 30 years in operation, with some of Vancouver’s most prestigious events in its portfolio, he wouldn’t have believed you. What began as a company refresh with a small, dedicated team has since blossomed into one of Vancouver’s top-ranked catering and event management companies—a success story that exceeded even James’s wildest dreams.
Our journey has been marked by adaptability and unwavering commitment to quality.
Don’t let our years of experience deceive you into thinking we’re set in our ways. Our team is always excited to collaborate, bringing something new, fun, and special to the table for each of our clients. We cherish every opportunity to create memorable experiences and hope you’ll soon be one of them!”

We’re proud to be a member of:
Our Impact
Decreasing Our ‘Food Print’
We’re in constant awe and appreciation of BC’s natural beauty, and are committed to doing what it takes to protect it and preserve our resources. Peake Catering | Events does this in many ways through a series of thought-out protocols. These include where we source our ingredients and supplies, how we recycle and compost, and what we do to make our processes more environmentally-friendly. Our passion about the ocean is elevated by where we live, and we support causes like Ocean Wise that help to regenerate and protect the world’s largest and most diverse ecosystem.
Inclusivity & Belonging
Peake Catering | Events advocates for inclusivity and fair representation for all. We believe it’s our responsibility to create spaces where staff and customers feel safe, respected, and free to fully express themselves, whether they’re a guest at our headquarters, or at one of our Vancouver events. We strive to make the world we live in a brighter place through alliances with local organizations such as Union Gospel Mission who aim to provide food security and support for those battling critical illness.
Our People
We’re immensely proud of the team we’ve created – an unstoppable force powered by bright minds and talents from around the globe. While each individual brings a unique and valuable perspective to the table, we share a passion for our craft and a lightheartedness that makes coming to the office all the more rewarding.
